The brokerage team at Horizon works with clients to find a specific piece of property within demographic parameters targeted by the client. Horizon will then build a building to meet the client’s specifications and the client leases the property back from Horizon under a long term lease.
Horizon partners with Hollenbach-Oakley to provide the best land development and construction management team to work closely with our clients, provide the leadership and expertise necessary to get projects off the ground and implement them in the most timely, cost-effective manner possible.
Horizon is currently working with several Louisville based banks to lease/manage and liquidate numerous bank owned assets. Under a plan created by Horizon, and approved by the Bank, the Horizon team manages the asset until it has been stabilized to the point where Horizon can find a purchaser for the asset. Over the past several years, Horizon has been successful in “turning around” several distressed properties and turning them into cash for the Bank.
Horizon has completed several developments where the anchor tenant is also our joint venture partner in the development. Under the most recent joint venture development in 2011, Horizon purchased the former Circuit City building at 5120 Dixie Highway and converted the building into a medical building to house the offices of our joint venture partners, Ellis Badenhausen Orthopaedics and South Louisville Pediatrics.
